SPRAY ADHESIVES

Not to be regarded as even remotely archival, the long established 3M products are convenient for RC or inkjet mounting. Not a good solution for even temporarily mounting fibre-based prints.
The blue can is Spraymount, which is gives the lightest bond and allows repositioning before it sets, so tends to be more applicable to say, building montages. Photomount in the red can gives a more firm bond immediately.

OPAQUE TAPE

Resembling masking tape in composition, but completely opaque, useful in blocking all sorts of extraneous light, as from enlargers, or masking transparencies.

HERMAFIX

Handy, inexpensive adhesive dispensers. The Hermafix 'Transfer' applies a line of tacky glue spots to any surface. While providing a good grip, the adhesive can be easily rubbed away subsequently, and should not damage any material. Very useful for sealing black transparency display mounts. The new Hermafix Vario dispenses adhesive tabs 1cm square, either singly or in continual rows, selected by the setting of a wheel on the dispenser. Choice of 5 colours for those who need to match it to their i-Mac.

GAFFA TAPE

Heavy duty highly adhesive fabric tape for all sorts of everyday applications. Tears easily across. Normally stocked in black, white or silver - the white is especially useful, as can be written on with felt-tip pen.
