Agfa RODINAL

Back as if it never went away, now being produced by the German chemical manufacturer a&o. First marketed by Agfa in 1891, making it the oldest developer in continuous commercial production. Based on para-aminophenol, highly concentrated, very sharp working, useful properties in matching negative to subject contrast. Most suitable for slow and medium speed films. Dilution 1:10 to 1:100. Higher dilutions are used for specialist applications, eg 1+300 for about 18 minutes for pictorial contrast with Kodak Technical Pan.

Agfa RODINAL SPECIAL

Although more or less new to the UK market, this little developer pack has been on sale in Europe for decades, where it has filled a popular role as a convenient one shot developer for people with a small throughput of film. Now produced by the German chemical manufacturer a&o.
Based on a PQ formulation,the performance is more conventional fine grain than traditional Rodinal. The recommended dilution is 1+15, but will work quite happily at 1+30 for most applications, adding about 50% to the development time.

Concentrated fine grain developer designed for deep tank use at a dilution of 1+15, but can also be used at higher dilution as a one-shot developer at 1+30.
