TRANSLYTE FILM DRYING CABINET

All the essential features of a large (and expensive) drying cabinet in a unit designed for the smaller darkroom. Rotary fan and heater in the removable base unit pass air through an efficient and easily changed filter. The cabinet is plastic laminated sheet metal, and the door is fitted with an inspection window. The height allows full 36 exposure film lengths to be dried. The heating unit includes 3 preset heat settings, and a film that has been squeegeed will be dry to handle in about 5 minutes. Slower drying is generally preferable, and on settings 2 & 3 will take up to about 20 minutes. The heat can also be switched off altogether, and fan driven cold air used for slower drying. The cabinet is supplied in two units, the heater/fan base in one, and the flat-packed cabinet in the other, needing only a screw-driver for assembly.

TRANSLYTE RC PAPER DRYER

Basic heating cabinet for speeding up drying RC prints. After washing, the wet print is squeegeed and then placed onto one of the grids inside the dryer, which slide out for loading. A lateral fan blows heated air across the prints, dramatically reducing the drying time, and giving the extra high gloss possible with heat drying. Two sizes are available, 12 x 16 in or 16 x 20 in. Each model will take 4 prints of the dryers maximum dimensions or the equivalent surface area (ie the 16 x 20 in will take four 8 x 10 in prints per tray, totalling a maximum capacity of 16.) Construction is welded steel finished in a black epoxy-polyester rust resistant coating. The units have 3 heat settings plus cold air blow, making them suitable for all resin coated paper, including Ilfochrome. Drying times vary from about 3-6 minutes.
