KAISER ENLARGERS - MONOCHROME

Renewed enthusiasm for BW photography is heightening interest in a more individual approach and creative treatment of monochrome pictures. Grey values and atmospheric lighting are the keynotes of black and white.
The Kaiser range contains nine enlargers to suit your own personal standards and applications. The modern Multigrade enlargers incorporate easy-to-use continuous contrast selection with the relevant papers.
The range of BW enlargers fitted with opal lamps cover all popular formats from 35 mm to 6 x 9 cm. Finally, the 12 V/100 W halogen BW head 4546 is available as an option (Transformer required).

4540
The VP 9005 BW enlarger is the top model for enthusiasts for fixed-contrast RC and baryta (fibre-base) papers. Formats up to 6 x 9 cm can be enlarged perfectly with the 75 W opal light. Focusing is by a manual fine drive, the compound negative carrier is factory-fitted with the AN glass/optical flat giass version. A 85 x 85 mm filter holder is fitted accepting Multigrade and Poiymax filters for use with variable contrast paper.

4465 The VP 6005 SYSTEM-V BW eniarger can be used for all formats up to 6 x 6 cm, and lenses up to 80 mm. The red safelight filter is integrated in. the beliows, and the lamphead fitted with a 75 watt opal lamp. The VP 7005 (4470) BW eniarger is designed for formats up to 6 x 7 cm and lenses up to 105 mm. For 35 mm users the VP 3505 (4425) BW eniarger is sufficient, and will enlarge cm negatives up to 24 x 36 mm format.

4401 The VP 350 BW eniarger is an entry level version and can be upgraded with almost all the modules in SYSTEM-V. The baseboard measures approx. 400 x 420 x 25 mm, and the column is approx. 760 mm high. A single condenser is fitted, and the lamp-house provided with a 75 watt opal lamp.

A lighting head with a halogen cold-light mirror iamp (12 Volt, 100 W) is also avaiiable for all the Kaiser SYSTEM-V enlargers. With the halogen BW head 4546 you can work with very big magnification scaies or very dense originals with more lighting power. For smaller magnifications the density control reduces the light power. A special diffuser ensures optimum light distribution. A filter drawer is also included.

Working with variable-contrast papers represents the latest and most professional form of present-day BW technology. All the contrast grades, including intermediate ones, can be produced from just one paper, either RC (PE) or baryta. Intermediate grades are no problem. Scales divided into 0.5 densities simplify reproducible work. Partial exposure of originals with different contrast is an extremely interesting feature. It enables you to achieve the richness of greys otherwise only possible with two-tray processing.

4560 The VPM 9005 SYSTEM-V eniarger takes formats up to 6 x 9 cm, has a baseboard approx. 500 x 600 x 32 mm, and a column one metre high. The Multigrade® head with dichroic filters permits the choice of contrast grades between 0 (extra soft) and 5 (extra hard), without changing the exposure time! The scale wheel for stepless regulation is indirectly lit. The white-light lever is a standard feature, as is the density control, to enable the light yield of the 12 volt/100 watt cold mirror lamp to be reduced if need be. The VPM 7005 (4471) is available for formats up to 6 x 7 cm. For medium format photographers using 6 x 6 cm film there is the VPM 6005 (4530). The Multigrade® VPM 3505 (4426) eniarger is sufficient for 35 mm negatives and slides.

Ali the SYSTEM-V enlargers (except for the VP 350) feature adjustable baseboard feet for exact levelling, and the basic specification includes the sophisticated compound negative carrier system with adjustable film guides. An important facility is the stepless positioning of the opa! lamp on all the BW enlargers, which ensures consistent and even illumination.
