This
is really no more than a extension of the bromoil process. It could also
be called more properly the poor man's lithography. A newly inked bromoil
print is placed face to face with another piece of paper and passed through
the rollers of an etching press. The extreme pressure exerted by the press
transfers the ink (and therefore the image) on to the other sheet of paper.
The advantages of this method are: You can make your transfer print on
any paper of your choice. You don't need a large negative. You can make
a small limited edition from the original bromoil. The disadvantage is
that you need access to an etching press, and the presence of someone
who knows how to demonstrate and supervise its use.
